Cosmetology Instructor Training
PROGRAM DISCLOSURES
The Cosmetology Instructor Training
Program is designed to prepare a licensed cosmetologist on all
aspects of educational
theory and application, including but not limited to developing
curriculum and classroom management. It is an eight (8)
month, seven hundred twenty (720) clock hour program consisting
of classroom lectures, classroom demonstrations and
clinical training designed to develop instructional skills. Prospective
enrollees must be 17 years or older, be a licensed
cosmetologist, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
high school. Upon completion of the program, the
matriculant will be eligible to sit for the Louisiana State Board
Exam. Once passed, the matriculant will receive a state
license to become a cosmetology instructor.
